The Piano Guys.

A week or two ago I was trying to find something to watch on television.  I came across The Piano Guys on WQED.  I loved the videos and music.  I bought the CD. If you haven’t heard of them, watch this video.  See what you think. Have a wonderful Sunday!! http://youtu.be/fz4MzJTeL0c

Where is the book?

There is an American Poet, Adrienne Rich, who said the following:  “We are healed  of a suffering only by expressing it to the full.” I think that just might be true.  Every one of us has some form of suffering in our lives.  I am so very, very thankful for the people in my life who [...]

Dad’s look-alike.

I was in Shop ‘n Save yesterday.  Standing by the orange juice was a man who looked just like my dad.  As he walked in front of me, I fought the urge to run up to him and hug him.  He REALLY looked like Dad!  I took a picture of him.  When I showed John [...]

An affirmation.

I recently read the following affirmation: I see beyond what is lost to what is being born. I celebrate the life of those that I have lost by living mine to the fullest. I am here to open my heart even more, the Love inside me is stronger than any pain I feel. Love is [...]

Wow. I’m speechless.

This is a comment that was left on my website.  I reread the message twice.  Yes, March 30 is the date of Joe’s accident.  I am so sorry to hear about the passing of this woman.  If she had a signed copy of my book, she ordered it directly from my website.  I am a [...]

Grillin’

After a few years without a gas grill, John bought one.  Sunday, John grilled chicken and pork steaks (pronounced “park” in St. Louis).  He made his dad’s BBQ sauce recipe. BBQ was a big deal in John’s family.  Here is a picture of John’s dad cooking on the grill with the kid’s standing around him.  John [...]

Unbending.

The arthritis in my left knee has been causing me a LOT of pain lately.  A LOT of pain.  Now, I know that the illnesses we have in our bodies first manifest, on some level, in our minds. Everything is a symptom of something else.  I know that knee pain, especially the left knee, is [...]

A Day in the Sun.

Summer has arrived!  The last two days have been beautiful bucket days!  Friday, the first official day of summer, was the first time this year that I was in my swimming pool.  While we may of had sunny days once in a while, the water temperature required a wet suit. Sadie and I spent a [...]

A Super Moon!

Tonight there is a Super Moon.  If you are not familiar with a super moon it is when the moon is closest to the Earth.  Tonight the moon will arrive at perigee, which is the point in its orbit that brings it closest to the Earth.  The moon will be 221,824 miles from the earth.  That sounds [...]

Calling all angels.

John went for a bike ride last night.  Whenever I can, I like to go onto John’s computer and look at old pictures.  The last time we talked about it, I believe John told me there were 10,000 photos on his computer.  SO, there is a lot to see.  I always seem to find a [...]
