Moving forward.

I know so many people who are at a place of change.  Moving forward in new directions.  I read this last night and thought it was appropriate for all of us standing at a crossroads, so I am sharing: Our lives are made up of a complex network of pathways that we can use to [...]

Cool Mama!

My mama makes the most out of every day.  Even at 82 she is happy and eager to learn something new.  We all could learn a lesson from her.  Last week mom was learning to tie dye. So, next time you have the opportunity to learn something new, think of my mama and do it.

A busy Saturday.

I could not sleep last night.  I have had a lot going on, in my head, the last few days.  Also, I have a LOT of work to do in my house.  Mental commotion.  Every room on my first floor needs something.  I am getting the paint brush back into the can this morning.  Hopefully, [...]

National Chocolate Milk Day.

Pour yourself a tall glass of cold and frothy chocolate milk and join the celebration of National Chocolate Milk Day! Chocolate milk was invented by Hans Sloane in the later 1680′s.  While Sloane was in Jamaica he encountered cocoa where the locals there drank it mixed with water.  After trying it, he founded it nauseating. Three Deep Breaths.

I read a lot of books while I was in Florida.  I took my library card to the Fort Pierce Library and picked up a few books.  One of the books was, Three Deep Breaths by Thomas Crum. Shortly after Joe passed a friend of mine told me to remember to breathe.  Sounds simple, but, it was [...]

“Joseph came from mommy’s heart.”

A friend of mine sent this to me.  I actually remember this from “Back in the day”. I just love it.  And, yes, Joseph came from my heart. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Purple, the color of the angels.

I left Hutchinson Island early yesterday morning.  I drove north to Sebastian, Florida.  I spent about 45 minutes at an ashram in Sebastian.  It was like nothing I had every seen before.  I will write more about that tomorrow. As I continued north to Orlando, I talked to Joe.  I thanked him for any part [...]

Homeward Bound.

So, I spent five days with my mama and my sister, and nine days by myself, in Florida.  It rained, was sunny and everything in between.  We even saw a lightning strike.  Of course, that was not a favorite moment for me. I cleaned most of the condo last night and finished up this morning.  [...]

Last day.

Today is my last day on Hutchinson Island.  I’m glad that it is a bright and sunny day again today.  I have enjoyed the last two weeks, but I am ready to get home to Pin Oak Drive.  I miss John.  I miss Sadie. I spent a long time sitting on the beach yesterday.  I [...]

It’s back, thank you!

Sadie called me on Thursday, around three o’clock.  As soon as I heard her voice I knew that something was wrong.  She told me that while she was in the cafeteria, someone took her Seton Hill lanyard.  Attached to it was her wallet, car keys, house key, license, room key, laundry key, bank card, meal card and cash.  [...]
