I am sitting on the bathroom floor at the hotel Loews Royal Pacific in Universal Studio. It is early and I don’t want to wake everyone. I was spoiled that I had other rooms I could go to on the rest of this trip. Yesterday was a great day. Sadie and Colleen made memories all [...]

So long.

“The sand may brush off. The salt may wash clean. The tans may fade. But the memories will last forever.” This last week has been one of my favorite weeks in recent years. I am blessed. So long, Hutchinson Island. I will miss you, my friend.

A needed break.

Today is our last day on Hutchinson Island. It has been hot and sunny all week. Not a cloud in the sky and no rain. It has been a beautiful week. Tomorrow morning we head north to Orlando. The girls will be spending the day at Universal Studios. John and I will be poolside at [...]

Thank you.

I think one of the best things you can do for yourself, is surround yourself with positive, kind, drama-free, caring, funny people. There is probably nothing better for your health. I feel in good health today. Thank you to these people in my life. It is all good.

Time to make memories.

It is crack of dawn early. John, Sadie, Sadie’s sister, Colleen, and I are heading south to Florida. I was there in April, but right now, that seems like a year ago. Between my real job, and my job as a general contractor, I have not had a minute to breathe in the last few [...]

A life of miracles.

Albert Einstein was quoted as saying, “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Each morning, if we are lucky, we wake up. We place both of our feet on the floor and we begin our days. [...]

Tough times.

This resonated with me and I wanted to share. It can be very challenging to maintain a positive attitude and a measure of faith when you are in the midst of difficult times. This is partly because we tend to think that if the universe loves us we will experience that love in the form [...]
