I can get lost in Pinterest. It is so amazing to me how many creative people there are on that site! If Pinterest was available when Sadie was little she and I would have always been very busy crafting. Like Miss Frizzles would say on The Magic School Bus, “Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!” [...]

New babies.

I became a great aunt twice in one day this week. Norah Jane and Payton Louise were both born on September 27th. I love seeing new parents with their babies. Especially first time parents. I love the newness of it all. You can see the excitement, terror and love in their eyes. With all the [...]

Political Viewpoint.

First thing this morning I received two messages from friends. The first was this: Good Morning, Ole Neighbor! (Notice it’s ole NOT old!) I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your posts and insights. I’m so glad we have facebook to keep in touch. Your posts are a reminder to always [...]

National Register to Vote day.

Today is National Register to vote day. I love that we live in a country that allows us to vote. I would not consider myself a “political person” but I believe that we should all vote. Register if you haven’t.

Your angels.

I saw this quote three times in the last week. Maybe that is a sign that I should share it. “Just because you can’t see your angels, it doesn’t mean that they aren’t there.” So true.

Make Lemonade.

This is a quote from the show, This Is Us, which John and I watched last night. This was the doctor talking to a father who just lost one of this triplets in childbirth. “I like to think that one day you’ll be an old man like me talkin’ a young man’s ear off explainin’ [...]

Key to happiness.

My key to happiness is surrounding myself with fun, uplifting, supportive and caring people. Today I am feeling very appreciative for the people in my life who are my keys to happiness. Thank you. Happy Friday!

Yesterday was the International Day of Peace. I turned on Good Morning America a few minutes ago and saw that people are rioting in Charlotte. Today, pray for peace. We can’t change the world, we can only change our world. Be peaceful. Teach your children to be peaceful.

Pays to Discover.

I heard from the folks at Discover. Someone in the UK has gone on a shopping spree with my credit card. The woman I spoke with asked me if I made the $1,000 and nearly $4,000 charges. Nope. Can’t say as I did. Declined. I am glad that they are so on the ball. This [...]
