Everyone has something.

It is a dark and dreary morning. I can hear the rain and the garbage truck outside my window.

John left the house hours ago. Before I even moved this morning I could feel the pain in my shoulders, arms and hands. I took a deep breath, opened and closed my hands to begin the blood flow.

The Advil will kick in soon and I will begin my day. Having pain every day is teaching me a lot about people. It is teaching me to have more patience.

What I am learning is that everyone has something. Everyone is walking around with a story. Everyone has their own battles to fight.

When you are moving through your day today, look around. Everyone you see has a problem of some sort that is weighing on their mind.

Be patient.

Smile and say hello.

Your kindness may make the difference in their day.
