Flag day.

Today is Flag day. I always think of my parents when I think of the flag. My parents were the most patriot people I have ever known. They were even married on July 4th.

My dad placed a large flagpole in the center of their backyard. The flags that they purchased were flags that had flown at the Capitol building in Washington, DC. The Capitol building only use the flags for one day, then they are sold to people like my parents.

I have always wanted a flag at our house, but had nowhere to put one, until recently. We got a little shed for our backyard. John bought us a flag.

Our house in Carnegie also has a flag.

Today I am thankful for the freedom that our flag represents. I am grateful to the men and women who give so much for those freedoms.

Happy Flag day to you.
