Pain-free moments.

I got out of bed this morning, pain-free. It has been more than two years since I have been able to say that. The recent shots I had in my knees has taken away the sharp pains I had with every step.

Yesterday I was afraid the shots didn’t work. I do know that after a long day of walking I do experience some pain, but I am glad that this morning, I was pain-free.

Now, I don’t know what the future holds for me, but one thing I now know is I will always do my best to not take pain-free moments for granted. I will have more empathy for people who suffer with pain.

If you suffer with pain, I am sorry.

Shortly, John will wake up and he will give me the Humira shot. I wish I could say the shot is pain-free. It is not. I don’t mind 10 seconds of pain for continued use of my body.

We are traveling today. Off to Houston for a Kimutis family wedding. I am looking forward to seeing everyone.

Enjoy your day. Thank your body for being pain-free for you.
